Yeah - I would wait and see what this does at the 50-day MA. Stocks which trade between the 50- and 200-day MA tend to be net neutral. The loss of the 200-day MA after its earlier break is not good news, especially as it looked to had formed a bullish pennant. Friday's price action looks nice on paper - but the failure to close over $1.80 could hurt the stock on Tuesday. stockcharts.com/gallery/?xomaDD as always, DJF

A buddy emailed me this comment from his subscription newsletter.
XOMA--This fell six percent on Thursday but this felt more like a shakeout rather than distribution. Looking at the accumulation over the last month, that could've been the last shakeout before a big move.

Sure enough. sharp call DJF! Got the gut feeling here now though, closed posi and up after hours, for a change. Also looks like tip of a penant.

XOMA looks like it wants to level out here, digest the run before it breaks the 200day.

Watch for 'golden cross' when 50-day MA moves above the 200-day MA. Holding its early June gains which is bullish. stockcharts.com/gallery/?xomaDD as always, DJF

It is close to a 'golden cross' (50-day over 200-day MA) but it cut through both supposed support levels with relative ease. The good news was it did so on light volume. If looking to buy I would draw a resistance line connecting the last 2-weeks highs and buy a break of the line, and/or place some GTC buy orders around $1.50, with a stop for the entire positon somewhere around $1.39. It looks like it wants to keep on drifting lower.

I'm gonna watch the break for 20% +/- gain.
Thanks for the insight.

Bought the downtrend break, got stopped for a breakeven. Listened to the seminar, improving earnings.
