Hi there,
Now that Noven has broken the buy support and the lower point of the spinning top, what are the indications you'd look at for a new entry point?
Thanks again.

As it overshot (to the downside) the upside gap, I suspect this will make a run to $14.50-15.00. If looking to buy I would place some GTC orders in this price zone and with stops on a loss of $14.50. stockcharts.com/gallery?novnDD as always, DJF

Nice earnings release, which has caused a big gap...
Any thoughts on what this might do?
Thanks again.

That's a big gap on huge volume. When people buy on earnings you are looking at the start of something good. Market manipulators will do what they can to drive the prices down to scare people out. GTC orders some 10% off todays lows could get a nice fill. The move is bullish, the question is - How low can you go?

Hi there,
NOVN continues its ascent - would it be uncommon for this stock to not fill the breakout gap below $20?
Thanks in advance.

Well, the breakout gap is just that (breakout gaps can never close in an uprally). Its important as the next gap up will be a measuring gap, giving a price target of the difference from the breakout gap to the measuring gap added to the lows of the candlestick creating the measuring gap. This contimues to look good in the short term, with a target of $30 before consolidation can be expected. Watch for the measuring gap.

NOVN announced earnings last week that were in line with my expectations, but lower than analysts. The share price fell to fill the previous gap, leading to an upgrade by one of the analysts following this stock... any comments on what might happen at this point?
I like the long-term potential for this company and would like to increase my position again, but I'd like to do it at the lowest cost (of course).
Thanks for your analysis.

Technicals improving. The gap test was successful (ie. prices didn't continue down). It made one test of $21.00 resistance, and looks set to test it again. Each move to resistance, weakens resistance. A break of $21.00 sets the next target of $25.10. stockcharts.com/gallery?NOVNWeekly chart remains favorable for long positions. DD as always, DJF
